Sunny and the Red King is a charming poetic tale of a brave girl who sets out to save her home and kingdom from evil. Written by Truett J. Billups, this lovely story is my debut into the world of children’s book illustrations!

Below I have selected a handful of my favorites from the 54 full color paintings in the book.

Let's collaborate!

Tell me about your project, and I’ll be in touch as soon as possible.

Process

First things first, let’s talk! I want to hear all about your project and ideas. Take me with you to “see” the panorama of your imagination and together we can capture the big picture in all it’s glory whether we are discussing concept art for your next film, character design, illustrations for a children’s book, or even stand alone artwork. This will be a broad sweep to capture the essence before diving into the details.

Once our direction is in focus we can further brainstorm and research the individual elements starting off with thumbnail sketches to establish the overall feel. From there we can dive into character design and development (if the project warrants). I will then draft full sketches for each spread or illustration complete with color studies.

When you like what you see, I can bring it all to life create polished drafts which I will submit for your approval. Any last tweaks can be made and everything will be finalized and delivered in the formats you need.
